TLDR: As an artist the only way I can possibly see ai image generation like this to be helpful is with inspiration or reference with highly trippy and surrealist art without drugs.. but humans do that already anyways too XD With or without substances!
As an artist I find the whole using the ai images as references to be really really specific.. it's only good for very surrealist reference that doesn't make logical sense. As someone who likes to draw trippy, surrealist art it is fascinating to see what abominations ai images are! That is literally the only thing though. You'll never actually learn from these abominations. If anything they can be interesting to look at as computers don't understand boundaries and limits. It's like an acid trip without the acid. It's literally only possibly a little bit helpful if you already have learned your fundamentals to break them though. That being said, artists have been doing trippy, surrealist art for ages now obviously as well and those are incredibly beautiful.
