The idea of agency over oneself in our society is muddled by our economic entitlement. To be direct as possible, deepfakes already exists in all of our minds. We’re constantly making people do things in our heads that they may not want to do in reality. Technology is merely mimicking our own minds. This seems almost inevitable.
