I respect Bernie's opinion but he's presenting this issue with heavy bias.
AI can be used for good and bad. Infact in the last 12 months AI has been central to expediting Alzheimer's diagnostic testing and treating patients earlier, significantly improving patient care. AI is also being used to accelerate breast cancer treatment - effectively replacing lab testers. But AI can do it up to 50 x faster than a human. He is also conveniently ignoring Neuralink which is probably the most ground breaking technology humanity has ever seen.
Bernie needs to stop referring to Musk, Bezos as the baddies. If anything they are the trailblazers. Interestingly he never raises Jobs, Cook, Nadella etc in the same way.
We have heard this "scare" tactic narrative before. The same was being said about the internet and how it would destroy jobs, then email, then phones. The list goes on. Humans have adapted, and they will adapt again in the brave new world of AI.
