My 2 cents, everyone keeps talking about how AI makes things more productive or cheaper (like radiologists doing more sessions with AI assistance). But that’s not progress, it’s a race to the bottom. When everyone can offer the same service faster and cheaper, price becomes the only differentiator, and value collapses.
Then there’s this idea that AI will “remove mundane work” so humans can focus on higher-quality tasks. That sounds nice, but it ignores reality. Even today, people could upskill or focus on more meaningful work, but most don’t, either because they lack the ability or the drive. The truth is, AI won’t magically elevate the workforce’, it will just expose how many people were only valuable because the system tolerated mediocrity.
