At first the tech world was limited by PCs. Then the tech world was limited by the application. AI is now limited by input. When your tool; does not have senses, is unable to assess information quality, is limited by verbal interpretation and is confined to manual data input, it will always be "artificial" to actual intelligence. That said its strength will be recalling and applying complex thought processes. As one of the AI ignorant it seems that this would be where the AI technology should focus to reduce the computational overhead.
