Why doesn’t this video? Also talk about the aspect of personal accountability… I mean, just because laptops are used in the classroom these days it doesn’t seem to me at all. That teachers cannot still produce quizzes and test on paper to demonstrate whether or not the children are actually learning this information. There’s also the point of parents and teachers, ensuring that students are not just dependent on the technology to solve the problem. Because I think that is what has made the advancements and technology in the classroom cause education results to decline. It’s one thing to give them a book that makes it easier to handle and manage information. It’s another thing to ensure that they’re not using that as the sole source for learning. I get that a lot of these programs that they put on their resemble little games and fun animation type things that these kids can find an easier time keeping their attention on but education is not about always being fun. It’s primary focus is making sure that people actually learn the information and then can turn around and demonstrated in a test format. That’s always been the baseline . Technology has not changed that other than the fact that the system has allowed it to do so. There’s no difference between that type of technology and then what we see on the collegiate level where a lot of people are highly dependent on AI algorithms and databases to teach people or answer their questions on their quizzes and test… Sure you get a high grade but you don’t remember anything you’re stealing from yourself effectively. A lot of people fall into this trap . I think it’s up to the system in order to ensure that people understand what is actually happening. Technology is great, but it can also be a burden when people use it to completely supplement their own ability to retain knowledge. Personal accountability has to be factored into the outcomes of technology when it comes to learning.
