Instead of wasting public money on the Pentagon, as the US tries to destabilize the rest of the world and hoard oil supplies, the Federal government is the only entity that can afford a real UBI or Federal Jobs Guarantee. People should be VERY, VERY clear that Government investments in PEOPLE ALWAYS pay back HUGE DIVIDENDS. The GI Bill pays back $7 dollars for each $1 of investment, and those are 20 year-old figures. Find a better ROI anywhere... The Internet is another Federal Investment, a "free one," that has created the first Trillion dollar companies.
We need to rethink Leisure Time, Money, Work, and "Government Spending."
Taxing Billionaires or Ai Companies is a cute idea, I'm not saying no, but it places the focus on Money as a limited resource when in fact it's virtually endless from the Federal Government. The Key is to make sure that it's spent on ventures that will produce, not profit, but expansions. Those "ventures" are PEOPLE, not corporations. Coming from the Federal Government, there's no "bubble" to be afraid of.
