I'm a professional software engineer, and I'm still not convinced current LLM-based AI will ever succeed in the way The Powers That Be think it will. It's too limited and is completely unable to reason on its own confidence. It's just a really fancy word generator.
Try telling that to a boomer with more money than I'll ever see in my life though. AI is a massive con and Sam Altman is digging his tendrils deep into the economy so his company either becomes too big to fail, or it'll bring down the rest of the economy when it inevitably implodes.
