Today, we are in the age of “narrow” AI....excellent at one specific task.
Yes, we are moving towards the more pervasive AGI (Artificial General Intelligence)...but we are not close to this design yet.
It is more likely that we are moving towards some form of symbiosis with AGI as human beings, where the technology will likely be more oriented to controlling the incredibly complex challenges of controlling fusion energy...the incredibly efficient ..non-polluting form of global energy..and with that fighting climate change as well as developing new medical treatments....food production...etc etc..
So the will to fight, still rests with us...but technology does not need to be the defining outgrowth of the algorithm...if we dont want it to.
