I think saying it's "ugly" is straight up wrong. While I am also against AI images, I have seen plenty of them that just look fascinating. The real issue is, that if I show you an AI image, and you don't know its AI, you will probably think it looks good. Only when you notice it is AI, you will dislike it. This isn't because you're just hating on AI, it is because the image loses its appeal. When we look at art, we start thinking about the skill, the progress and the sheer amount of work, it took to create it. With AI art, this isn't the case. Looking at the specific colors the artist used, the lines that the artist purposely placed on that specific spot, all of that isn't possible with AI images because there, it is all based on statistics gathered from random artists. Line #203 was placed there because out of the 10 million drawings the AI got fed with, this was the most probable spot. Of course, there is more behind it than just that, but you get what I am saying. Tho, I'd be interested in other opinions ^^
