I call BS on the claim that AI could be an existential threat to humanity. AI does not desire power. Humans desire power. It is possible that these tech and political leaders are creating the bogey of dangerous AI just to use it later as an excuse to pin the blame when they send their robot army to terminate all the useless humans.
