see the scary thing to me is, I am an A student in my CS degree classes. I am in the 300 level courses now and currently taking Operating Systems, programming languages and analysis of algorithms. What is scary to me is that I have taken a data base class last semester, we learned about tuples. I have no idea what these questions are even asking because when asking to write a touple in Python because we only used SQL so I don't even know what a tuple is in the context of a language. I feel like we learn so much conceptual shit that doesn't translate to actually doing fucking anything useful. I am about to hit midterms for this semester and even being in a PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES CLASS, I haven't written a single line of code this semester. I really don't know if it's chatGPT doing this, I just feel like I can go through and do all this shit in class but it doesn't translate to being able to do anything or knowing what it actually means in a program.
Like I have taken a Python class, for sure can't say I know wtf REPL is.
