the ubiquity of ai "art" has compelled me, someone who can't sketch a respectable stick figure, into making visual arts. for the first time, at the big age of 40, im interested in brushes and paints and methods and washes. exploring my own personal creativity has been a joy, only tarnished by the realization that ill likely never have the funds to make the works im really excited about.
before ai, when I only had other humans to judge my work against, I always felt so inadequate that giving up seemed logical. but now that I have output from a shitbox? honestly, pass me my easel and retrofit tacklebox, I'll make something worthy of filling space on a wall.
