Point towards the end: entry level workers are the most capable and efficient with AI--the problem is 95% of them have an education in "copy and paste AI", so basically they are specializing in doing something agents do very well. Newer graduates who can operate outside that paradigm and make genuinely effective use of AI are a small percentage, they are those successful 22 year old startup founder or in-college founder. Economists talk as if young people who plagiarize and party their way through a school are entitled to a job and otherwise, something's wrong. The real challenge for the economy is motivating majority of young people (students) to do real work and obtain real skills. Even in the trades, the HVAC bosses are complaining young graduates are unwilling to master their skills.
