Hogwash! Problem is we are assuming human economy considers efficiency above everything.
Problem any or most jobs that require a license. Drs, lawyers, electricians and so on. Basically regulate themselves and determine who can qualify to do those jobs. If not for other reasons, but to protect themselves.
AI or older systems pretty much could have replaced them years ago, don’t get me started on Real Estate agents.
Planes have been able to fly themselves for years. And we could easily have remote piloting. But it’s not that simple.
I do think AI will be a huge revolution for those that wish to be more productive. Just as the days of switchboard operators have gone away. Many number crunching and design jobs will probably cease to exist.
But I don’t see AI replacing Rick’s Discount Tire shop down the road any time soon. Although one day I’m sure it will
