It stands to reason, once AI has digested the totality of humanity’s written word, it will have no better way to train itself than through interaction with lots and lots of humans. Sounds ok, right? Until you factor in the competitive nature of AI development. Expect to see humans compelled to train computers in return for food and shelter, to have their consciousness mined for information, or processing power. The Matrix Film predicted this, but dumbed it down to power generation, since audiences weren’t ready to understand.
Those who transcend this form of slavery will be a symbol of what humanity was, thus a target for the ever-more-powerful AI.
