Jobs have always been lost in tech leaps. IE building a railroad with a man every 20ft to machine operators laying 20 times as much in 1/3 the time with a crew of 5. The only way to absorb the losses is for subsidized living. That is something that needs serious thought and planning ahead of time.
You have a mine or well with labor that will be all replaced in less than 10 years. Logistics from mine to processing. Automated drivers and equipment maintenance. Processing to manufacturing, same process. Manufacturing again, fully automated. We have already seen designs by ai that meet or exceed current design and production.
The new jobs is BS for sure. A few jobs. Subsidized living is going to be a must. Especially in countries with heavy regulations on labor and operations. Health insurance, comp and liability insurance, unemployment insurance, wellness, breaks, compliance, work hours. In the USA ai workers make the most sense for business. A robot team of 20 with all the peripheral expenses would cost the same as the 3 workers to cover three shifts on one station.
It won't matter what you want. You can be benevolent with your time but nobody is going to pay for it
