I believe it's important that Canvas artists sees AI artists the same as 3D artists or Adobe Premiere artists, and find a common ground to collaborate together on projects and even become competitive to established trademarks. If both types of artists agrees to collaborate, it can bring projects to life.
Artists have an intention when they paint something that AI artists might have missed, but if they collaborate, both can create much more consistent art, and the canvas artist can have his dreams brought to life, using majorly his own art and partly of anything else.
AI artists should also be opened to work with artists on the other hand, and also with 3D artists, game programmers, and anything else that is relevant.
Now, everyone can make unique characters even tho they're not even artists, and feel attached to their characters.
It's something that should be perceived with an open mindedness that limits itself to direct copycat cases where a character and its original story is stolen with no due credits nor agreement.
That's where collaboration is key. It would make things much easier for everyone, and bring dreamers together.
