It's a weird topic when it comes to ai as to me I think we are trying to run before we even know what our legs are. We can't truly define intelligence or how we are any different from any other animal on this planet. It's like seeing the effects and trying to recreate it without knowing why it's happening naturally. If we can figure that out then we can make it work as ai on a base level is far far far more robust in the level of hardware compared to us. It's very doable as well, it would probably take a while but if we can crack the code then we can recreate it.
