Here's what I think about what AI art is/what it can do:
AI art can and, given enough time and technology is invested in it, AI art **will** be completely indistinguishable from real, human art, and possibly even for free too.
However, when this happens, AI art will allow any and all ideas to be made into art, regardless of how good or bad the idea is.
This will result in a flood of unoriginal, unappealing, and sometimes genuinely disturbing AI art, making finding any art that is actually good basically impossible, due to the fact that an AI art filter will become an impossibility.
I'm not the type of person to laugh at someone I hate when something bad happens to them, but I won't deny that this is great news for me.
