In terms of policing the images created with AI.
The key here is somewhat simple. Meta data. Basically the digital image is more than you can see. The most basic is the pallette used for the image is encoded into the file but never directly displayed to you. It would also include the name of the application the file was created in, date size etc. And among this information there can be added a signature specific to the AI doctoring with which will make the whole file unusable.
And on top of this there is a million and one way to imprint a watermark across the image itself that would be invisible to the naked eye but easily revealed by a dedicated image filter.
