You are right, Anton. Sadly, AI is not going away. It should.
I can tell you the quality of student learning, adaptability, and stamina for learning has gone down with the use of technology in instruction. We didn't have AI so much when I retired 4 years ago, but, since the pandemic, we did what we could to automate instruction with Google Classroom and individualized math and English programs that let kids progress at their own speeds. Of course, we instructed the class (during 2020-2021, simultaneously online and in person) as well.
All this computer stuff did not help student performance. They hated it. Many said they wished we could go back to pen and paper.
Educators have seen every new fad come down the road and fail, sometimes twice. Kids need three things...
1 involved parents,
2 accountability,
3 knowledgeable teachers who get to know their students and provide meaningful instruction...
And 4...to put their d*mn cell phones away while they are in school!!!!!!!
