I guess the codebase on which AI is being trained will contain more and more AI-generated code.
A dangerous loop.
Nevertheless, as a free-lance S/W developer, I use AI a lot: among the various AI agents I have come to prefer Claude (especially the Opus variant), because I find it has a unique ability to understand the context and the scope of the project.
I use it more as a pair-programming partner than as a “heavy lifter”, and when it comes to architecture, I accept suggestions but make my decisions.
In other words, I try not to create technological debt for myself.
