Every time you do the Captcha challenge with the pictures, you are training Google's AI. Half the time I try to search with Google anymore it tells me "unusual activity from your network" as en excuse to get me to help train the AI they want to use to take over my life. I mostly use other search engines now. As for the social manipulation potential of AI, I have God's Holy Word to ground me. The Bible has shielded Christians from the wiles of Satan himself for centuries. It is sufficient to protect from nefarious AI. The catch is that it's most effective for those who are born again and much more hit or miss for the lost, the latter of which comprise most of the earth's population. I'm more scared of AI potentially reducing my market as an artist, even though AI hasn't quite mastered physical media yet like I have. I also worry that AI could put words in the mouths of people I trust or who are in positions of significant responsibility via deepfakes.
