Although this is a good point, it is still important to note that ai propmters are also capable of modyfing their image and controlling what exactly the ai creates, (promt engeneering, image to image promts, editing software and such...). This means people can actually can put intentionality into what's created and therefore make art with AI as long as they are willing to put in effort into it.
I think the main problem with AI image generation is that many people consider it as easy solution to wirk and thus come with subpar results.
