Big thank you to Haley and all the other amazing artists in the comments here for putting together such well researched and thought out information about the reality of ai generated art. I work professionally as a graphic designer, and fill my free time with many other art related hobbies as well. Some of the people I work with are becoming more and more fascinated with ai and continue to suggest I incorporate it into my workflow. One manager in particular seems very well intentioned when he discusses it with me, I can tell he has a passion for tech and is genuinely trying to help me make my work easier. He doesn’t understand how belittling some of his remarks are to someone like me who has pursued creative interests from a very young age, and who has spent many years of hard work to make a career out of something creative. (I’m sure this is relatable for all the hard working artists here too!) I struggle putting coherent sentences together to explain my reasons why without getting heated up, but hearing everybody’s logical reasoning gives me some really good talking points for the next time it comes up. Much love to everyone in comments and to lavendertowne for being amazing as always ❤
