Seeing the twitch comments about AI Art was so cringe. Most don't even know what AI is. Everyone just blindly goes that Ai steals or whatever. As someone with masters in Computer Science this is just plain wrong. With AI we try to mimic the human brain. Thus when you create a new AI model, it is completely random like a new born baby. No matter what input you give it, it outputs some gibberish. We then provide it with a large dataset to learn from. It extracts patterns, trends from the data and remember that. So if you give it new input, it uses the past knowledge to compute a desirable output. It's kind of like how a new Born baby learns to speak by repeatedly hearing it from the parents. Thus the AI generating this art has learned from a large number of other arts and extracted common patterns. Thus when you provide a new input prompt, it uses the patterns to generate a new image. An AI model is only as good as the data it trained on.(This kind of applies to humans too) So, every artist today has learned to draw by seeing art drawn by other people. So are they stealing from them?
