As an artist, I don't see how AI art is an issue.
When photography was invented, traditional artists didn't go out of a job. When phones had cameras, photographers didn't go out of a job. People have digital galleries, and physical photo albums still exist. People make digital art, and traditional art still brings in revenue. Why would AI art completely change the way people make art and make jobs obsolete? Even if jobs were to be obsolete, new jobs still open up.
People are still making sculptures, ceramics, paintings, web design, fashion design, architectural design, drawing with graphite, using watercolors, acrylics... And people won't stop because an AI is used.
I could only find one case where someone stole an artist style to train their AI, and, while I think it's wrong to steal art, the AI art wasn't used for commercial proposes.
