If I may offer a qualification or two... if one cannot define life in the universe, in a context of evolution, one cannot define AI. Second, if one has not identified the costs of AI, one is pissing in the wind. For example, and borrowing the example presented to Karen, of rockets for satellites and warfare, each launch destroys a few hundred square kilometres of ozone; thus, given the estimated launches in the next five years (several thousand), the eliminated ozone layer will have eliminated all life on the planet. Has AI predicted this? Of course not because AI is not what it is sold as. The AI industry is in the hands of, variously, idiots and psychopaths. So my heart goes out to Karen when she tries to present AI coherently.
