Real-world FULL self-driving is not even close to being feasible right now - I'm surprised that Andrew Yang doesn't know this since he's a technologist. The diminishing returns problem of AI scaling they described is real and unsolved. To think Uber drivers are going to imminently lose their jobs to self-driving cars is to be blind to the stymied progress of full self-driving technology. The real job threats are to the interns and junior white collar workers as the work during those early training years are often menial and can be replaced by dumb AI.
