A lot of this wouldn't be that much of a problem if we weren't living in a society where it's neccessary to work, or to be more precise, to have money, to survive.
Which has always been a principal issue, even before AI. It's like being born into kind of an "economic slavery" and we need to buy our freedom. Except we don't buy it, we just license it for a monthly subscription, like software.
Bear in mind none of us had any choice over whether we wanted to be born, or where, or when, or into what family, etc...
let me paste a comment I made years ago on a similar topic
Robots replacing humans only makes sense in societies with strong enough social welfare, where people could have a decent life without having to work. That should be the ideal behind "robot does the work of a person - so that the person doesn't *have* to". It should be a tool towards obtaining a society where it's no longer necessary to work to survive.
