You know the intent of art is to make a statement.
If anything this AI artist low-key inspired a ton of talented to people to create beautiful art in a new style that they wouldn't have before, inspired by the AI, even if it was just to mock it.
Honestly using AI as a tool for helping inspire creativity is kind of artistry... That being said if it wasn't for the internet absolutely dunking on this AI art it would certainly just be standard AI trash and no longer art.
