I always thought nuclear weapons were a good deterrent? Had Ukraine not given up its nuclear arsenal for protection from NATO- they would likely not have been invaded. Not saying AI isn’t needed, but, AI is always also becoming outdated every single day. Mutually assured destruction (MAD) has always been a good deterrent if you have leaders with the wisdom to use if needed like we did with Japan.
