I agree it's very frustrating but I also think that there is very little that can be done about it in the long run. It's a bit like when Beyonce's publicist tried to prevent that one picture of her from being shared, on this is on a much more massive scale. Even if they are able to legally pressure Stability into using more ethical models there will be some other AI tech that people use to copy art or create imposter art with. Honestly I'm a huge tech nerd, but this current wave of AI technology growth is making me almost a bit of a Luddite because it seems like it's going to completely disrupt art and music industries and many other industries in very painful ways that will have a lasting (and likely permanent) influence on human creativity. This whole situation is a good example of why it's always good to have a plan B or C career-wise.
