Too many drivers have lost respect for, and fear of, what it means to be behind the wheel of 2000+ pounds of moving metal. We see it in overreliance on "autopilot" that isn't actually autopilot. We see it in drivers on their phones, drivers paying attention to their dashcams and other touchscreen functions in modern vehicles. We need to STOP making more distractions for drivers. I refuse to believe that any current self-driving tech is safer and more reliable than a human driver who has been taught, tested, has practiced, and is paying attention. Put your phones down and PAY ATTENTION. You're driving a 1-ton+ battering ram.
