Raw LLM Responses

There's a deceptive bias in all of these studies, and that is the fact that people are not becoming dumber, but rather they are doing less work with the same tasks. That does not mean they are getting dumber, but it does mean they are getting better at using different tools. There are some, however, who will take any opportunity to think less. Those people are going to do this regardless and that's not going to change their potential. But the people who LOVE to solve problems, AI is not going to replace anything. Instead, AI is going to perform the lower-level functions while they focus on what they can do to enhance the AI's ability, and smarter people will go in and look at what the AI is doing. But the AI is just another layer of abstraction. If you are writing code, you're already using several layers of abstraction. You're using data models and visual information on top of English code on top of compiled code on top of linked assembly code which is built on top of raw machine language for the processor. Does this layer of abstraction make you dumber? Maybe slightly but it's ALSO making you more productive and have to work less hard, and the skills you do have are going to matter much more than if you spend an amazing amount of brain power on assembly and can build a working calculator in a week with it. Yes you'ave shown a lot of expertise at a lower-level language enough to do what almost nobody else can do, but what you've also done is far less efficient than higher-end developers that can write this same king of thing in 5 seconds using an AI.
