You’ve got the reaction of people wrong, and I think the economic fall out too. Millions of People who can't eat won't just watch gossip and somehow forget about it. If there's no UBI, then people will riot. They'll burn down AI offuces and sata centres. There'll be HUGE social unrest and either mass government killings of the public (in America) or mass violence towards governments. Or both. Unless there's a way to keep people in food, shelter and activity, there will be endless riots until either global war or Ai is burnt to the ground. The only way out is if Ai advances quickly enough to provide free goods and services and food. Which is possible with advanced Ai, robotics and quantum computing. But I suspect that's just hopium
