Let’s actually try to imagine a world in which a small oligarchy replaces 99% of the human workforce with superintelligent artificial intelligences, and to address the issue of the lack of income from work, it recognizes a "citizen's income" for that 99% of the unemployed population that is lower than the average per capita income, specifically lower than 1,000 € per month per capita. Let’s say 500 € per month. The quality of life for the 8 billion people inhabiting the Earth could be extremely compromised: social justice, access to resources and opportunities, education, social mobility, etc. Consequently, humanity as a species would gradually lose skills and cognitive abilities in a sort of inverted Darwinism.
