Your focus on consumer capitalism is naive. About 30,000 official NOC occupations may incorporate forms of AI. Hundreds of thousands of corporations need AI and robotics for proprietary data, goods and services. 200,000,000 proteins may be viewed as nanorobots. NewsGPT is needed to digest news. ProteinGPT is needed to digest about 10,000 scientific papers on protein annually because individuals can no more digest the torrent of scientific papers coming from 200,000,000 + university students than an individual can drink from a firehose. I suspect that young people spend so much time in "consumer capitalism", online and in cities, that they focus on consumer capitalism.
