You definitely can't compare AI art to digital drawing for sure. Not at all. So their arguments about it being similar fail. I think the reason people like it, is because it gives people who either aren't the best at art, or don't have the patience for it, to at least sort of have a hand in creating something cool. I do think some AI art is cool, but I prefer the art made by actual people.
