The thing we should remember with AI is that, even thought it will create new jobs, it's going to replace far more than it creates and over the long run, AI and robotics will likely be able to replace almost all jobs, including future jobs we create.
It's the adaptive nature that AI can be put to task on almost anything and once you tie that into robotics, it gives it a physical presence, basically, there's not going to be close to enough jobs to go around and the job market will get squeezed even more as time goes on, meaning businesses can put downwards pressure on wages.
Government intervention is the only solution I see and it would have to be major intervention, which is more akin to what Europeans are more likely to do than Americans.
