I don’t understand all the hassle around being pro or anti AI. No one is going to stop it, no matter how good or bad it turns out to be. This AI evolution is controlled by the 1% the people who have the money and the power to invest in it. And just like AI has many good uses, it also has just as many harmful ones. AI itself isn’t the real issue how people use AI is what should be examined. Those who jump early onto the AI bandwagon will make a lot of money from it, just like with platforms such as Twitch or YouTube. You always end up with a few creators who gain millions of viewers, subscribers, or members, while countless others struggle to get by, barely reaching 20k subs. I can imagine many of those people feel threatened or pushed aside.
As with every major invention in the past that was controlled by the same 1%, things usually have to get worse before they get better. But as many people have already said, AI will only improve. What looks creepy or fake today might look incredible just two months from now. And while that thought is frightening, it’s still inevitable no matter how loudly people scream or protest.
Why? Because it generates billions, and too many people already rely on it in their daily lives. If we refuse to accept it, a new gap will form once again between AI tech enthusiasts and art purists just like in the past. Eventually, those purist movements fade away as newer generations move on from old habits and older generations slowly disappear.
There is no stopping it. So at some point, acceptance is the only realistic option...
