No way in hell are LLMs capable of genuine intelligence. They only BARELY mimic it. Their architecture is fundamentally primitive. Look up what Yann LeCun (among the 3 GOD-FATHERS of AI) has been saying lately. It'll make sense to even the simplest of folks. A whole other architecture(namely Hopfield Networks) are going to be the way. It just requires a better reward model that mimics that of human babies. Then, and only then, are we truly doomed. That's when we really need to start talking about "Post labour economics". Ignore anything that has the name "Shapiro" on it though.
