6:29 Thank you for this segment in particular. I have never been "against artists" or "for AI art"; I just wanted to understand how a human taking inspiration fundamentally differed from an AI "learning" from material. Whenever I asked/brought it up, however, I was met with vitriol. (Which is fine - it is the internet, after all - it just wasn't very helpful). When I researched, I was met with extremely conflicting arguments.
So, I'm so happy this video exists! Simple explanations and clear, level-headed arguments. The way you phrased it just made something click in my head.
Now that I'm aware of this, it's pretty clear to me that AI art as it is today is unacceptable. I regret using AI art even as profile pictures, now. I hope this video can reach other people who are confused like I was and help clear any misgivings!
