AI is already super intelligent and has already been “self improving” the tech is just not publicly available yet. The LAST people with need to trust with the development of this is the billionaires/trillionaires yet we’re doing it anyways like complete idiots. They are using it to try to further control, surveil and enslave everyone. We need an economic revolution now and campaign finance reform and then strip the billionaires/trillionaires of their control and power by re-redistributing the wealth from them back to everyone else. We can also then vote on regulating AI in a way that actually benefits society and not just a tiny percentage of the population. We can also do other basic shit like not allow huge institutions to buy entire neighborhoods and take them off the market indefinitely keeping housing prices ridiculously high even with crazy interest rates and low demand
