most ai image generators doesnt even steal art anymore, yes this was true back in the days when it was all new. but now theyre using advanced code to literally ''draw'' the art themselves based on info it has gotten, its literally like teaching a kid to draw, so when hes learnt how to draw he will draw better and faster
