a lot of it comes down to copyright and stealing from others. there are the big ones such as feeding an a.i works from a deceased artist and having them make more art- therefore erasing the artist. Theres people who have already used this to harm others by doing the same but with people who are well known. The problem is, when it comes down to it, while it may be "learning", its not in the same category of learning as real artist who have spend years developing these styles and ways of art. If it was just about the amount of time it took, people wouldn't be so upset- but when you take something from a person you do not know, wipe away the detail and submit it as your own its tasteless. Its taking another's work and wiping the credit away. Had it been used in harmony with artist as tools to help and support artist, we would not have such an issue, but it works against us because of how the creators designed them to take advantage of an already under valued community. Its frustrating to have to say to people its like a robot stealing your job and/or your hobby in one and have them still not care. Would love to have most if not all the creatives drop off social media in term of posting and see how the "learning" goes. Because we all know what its doing, you just refuse to admit and say "well idk..."
