Art is NOT acessible to all, it requires time, energy and money, things that the system takes from us, leaves us often without. We cannot create every aspect of our art ourselves, noone has that level of time, the Guitarrist does not craft his own guitar, the Musician often does not animate their own music videos, the Breakcore Producer doesn't craft every drum sample they use. And in a world where most indipendant artists are working with no buget at all, with pirated software and second hand equipment in a bedroom, and at the end of that they get paid nothing for the art they create, CAN YOU ASK OF THEM TO PAY 80 BUCKS FOR SOME HAUGHTY ARTIST TO MAKE THEM A PICTURE????? I'm not saying AI art is art, it's mere illustration, but blaming an artist, that's not getting paid for their work, for stealing free illustrations from a mash up robot, IS MAD. You know what we did back in the day before algorythms could spot copyright infringement??? WE JUST STOLE WHOLE IMAGES, WHOLE SONGS AND VIDEOS FOR SAMPLING. FUCK INTELECTUAL PRIVATE PROPERTY. Humans will always create art with the things they scavange from the dumpsters of society and what they can get away with stealing, AI is just very easy to swipe stuff from.
