...I'm a published (I mean, not like in a big way but technically I did get paid for my writing by a publisher so it counts) writer with severe ADHD and autism. (got the paperwork certifying that I have a Weird Brain and everything). Does this make writing harder? Sure! Does it make writing *consistently* harder? Yeah, and it's actually a source of no small amount of stress for me. Here's the thing, though: if I used AI tools to go faster, then that writing isn't *mine*. They aren't my words, my feelings, my thoughts, the way I see the world. They're the AI's words (or, rather, the output of a large language model trained on other people's work scraped off the internet).
