this is ridiculous, most of the iniitial layoffs were actually H1B, it was just an excuse for them to go all out with it with a complete destruction of the native workforce.
The actual Ai losses havent even started yet, and its going to wipe out entire sectors of industry. Every tech support job in the world is going away. All of the cashiers are going away, most receptionists.
Its going to be a bloodbath that makes us realize that evangelicals worshipped the corporations who didnt give a fuck about America and wanted cheap labor.
For some reason I think the real unrest is going to start in India, so, so many good middle class jobs are going to go away, with nothing to replace them. The people talking about "endless profits" and other jobs created when some jobs are going away are lying to you lol. This is what they have to say to keep pushing Ai out into industry.
